Toccoa Harvest Festival Planning Starting Up

Preparations are underway for a Fall tradition in downtown Toccoa.

Main Street Toccoa says it is now accepting applications for this year’s Toccoa Harvest Festival.

This year marks the 40th annual Toccoa Harvest Festival.

However, something will be a little different this year.

Instead of its traditional dates on the first weekend of November, this year’s Toccoa Harvest Festival will take place on October 29 and October 30.

Main Street Toccoa Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby said the change in dates is happening in order to accommodate a train that will visit Toccoa during that weekend.

“This year on October 30, we are going to once again have the train come in from North Carolina,” said Crosby. “It should be another great Harvest Festival. We are hoping and praying for better weather than last year.”

Crosby said that anyone interested in participating in this year’s Toccoa Harvest Festival is welcome to apply now.

“We invite vendors who have homemade products or handmade products, or homegrown or home-baked,” said Crosby.
