Toccoa Harvest Festival This Weekend

An annual autumn tradition returns this weekend to downtown Toccoa.

The 39th annual Toccoa Harvest Festival is Saturday and Sunday in downtown.

Toccoa Main Street Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby said that Harvest Festival once again will have a lot to offer.

“It has continually grown every year,” said Crosby. “It seems like we are getting new vendors and just a lot of creativity. You will be amazed when you see some of the products that are going to be sold.”

According to Toccoa Main Street, Harvest Festival attracts more than 160 craft and food vendors each year.

However, Harvest Festival is more than just handmade, home-grown, and home-baked items.

Crosby said the weekend will have a lot going on downtown.

“On Saturday, we have the classic car show, which is down on Hill Street and down on that end of Doyle Street,” said Crosby. “Then we also have the art show and that is on Doyle between Sage and Pond streets. We of course have children’s activities and entertainment.”

The car show is Saturday only, but the art show is both Saturday and Sunday.

Of course, the weather is a big question mark this weekend.

Crosby said that the Toccoa Harvest Festival is a go rain or shine.

“We are going to be prepared for it to be a nice enough day for people to get out and walk around a little bit,” said Crosby. “We will have people set up. We are hoping there will still be plenty to do. We will have as much entertainment as we can, depending on the weather.”

The hours for the Toccoa Harvest Festival this weekend are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
