Totals In For Leadership Class Banquet Fundraiser

This year’s Leadership Toccoa-Stephens County class said September’s Leaders and Legacies banquet raised more than $2,000 for each of the schools in the Stephens County school system.

The first Leaders and Legacies banquet took place on September 24 at the Georgia Baptist Conference Center.

According to the Leadership class, money raised through sponsorships, ticket sales, and a silent auction at the banquet was divided evenly between the Stephens County School System PTOs, including each elementary school and the middle school, and Stephens County High School arts programs.

The class says each school received $2,241.

During the banquet, this year’s Leadership class honored five individuals in the community.

Class members said the goal was to encourage students in Stephens County to return or stay and contribute to this community by honoring those who were educated here and have returned to or stayed here and positively impacted Toccoa and Stephens County, thus continually adding to the community’s future leaders and legacies.

This year’s five honorees were Marvin Dunson, Michelle Ivester, Evan Oglesby, Tammy Riddle, and Clint Sanders.
