Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

A traffic stop leads to drug charges against one individual.

Toccoa Police Chief Tim Jarrell said that an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle early Saturday morning on Collins Road.

“After making contact with the driver, Virginia Lee McCollum of Toccoa, he found her to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, less than one ounce,” said Jarrell.

As a result of the traffic stop and what the officer found, Jarrell says that McCollum, age 50, was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana.
