Voter Registration Deadline Approaching for Presidential Primary in Ga.

Time is running out in order to register to vote in the Presidential Preference Primary in Georgia that is coming up in March.

Monday is the deadline to register to vote for the March 1 Presidential Preference Primary.

There are a number of ways to register to vote.

People can register to vote by going online to the Georgia Secretary of State’s website at www.sos.ga.gov.

Also, people can go to the Stephens County Registrar’s Office.

That office is now in a new location.

It is located in the old commission meeting room at the Stephens County Courthouse Annex on Tugalo Street in downtown Toccoa.

If a person is not registered to vote by 5 p.m. on Monday, they cannot vote in the state’s March 1 presidential primary.

Early voting for that presidential primary will start on February 8.

Meanwhile, people can already request paper, mail-in absentee ballots for the presidential primary by going to the Stephens County Registrar’s Office.
