NGIAA adds two schools to conference

Stephens County Middle School is a member of the Northeast Georgia Independent Athletic Association.

That conference has added two new schools for the upcoming school year—they are Habersham County and Rabun County, and they will compete in all sports against Stephens, Franklin, Hart, and Madison County Middle Schools.

Clarke Central and Cedar Shoals will leave the conference.

With the conference members set, the football schedule has now been finalized, according to Stephens County Middle School Football Coach Matt Miller.

Also new next season, the Rebels will participate in a pre-season jamboree against other middle school football teams at Madison County on August 11, 2018.

The Rebels will open the regular season on Thursday, August 30th, at Rabun County.
