“A Taste of Toccoa” Coming Up April 28

Preparations are underway for the annual “A Taste of Toccoa” event in downtown Toccoa.

Main Street Toccoa Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby said that the 26th annual “Taste” will take place later this month.

She said it is one of the city’s signature events each year and they are excited for it to come around again.

“It will be on Thursday, April 28th and we have a lot of fun things for people to do this year, as well as restaurants participating, so it looks like it should be a fun year again,” said Crosby.

Each year during “Taste,” local restaurants and caterers show off their specialty menu items in smaller portions so everyone can have a little of something or go back and enjoy another portion of their favorite.

“A Taste of Toccoa” also includes entertainment and other activities for those in attendance, as Crosby says there will be plenty to do and plenty to eat.

There is still time for local restaurants and caterers to sign up for this year’s “Taste.”

Crosby said that Main Street Toccoa is still accepting applications for the April 28 event.

“We are looking forward to hearing from some of our other restaurants and caterers and we welcome them and invite them to participate,” said Crosby. “It is for those restaurants and caterers who are located in Stephens County. We want to highlight our local restaurants and our local restaurant businesses and hopefully, they will participate again this year.”

The deadline to sign up as a restaurant or caterer this year for “A Taste of Toccoa” is on April 22.
