ASI Southeast Opens New Clary Connector Facility

ASI Southeast has officially opened their newest plant in Stephens County.

Wednesday morning, the Company held a ribbon cutting at their new 140,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in the Meadow Brook Industrial Park, which also holds an additional 12,000-square-foot-office space.

Calling it the 900 Building, ASI announced the construction of the new facility at 900 Clary Connector in February of 2017.

ASI’s newest plant manufactures plastic and metal, custom fabrication and commercial bathroom stalls and fixtures.

Doug Hitchens is the Executive Vice President & COO of ASI Southeast.

Hitchens says this latest expansion could not have been done without the support of the Toccoa-Stephens County community.

“We’re proud of our expansion and our investments here in Toccoa-Stephens County,”

The new ASI facility is 140,000 sq. ft. and includes 12,000 sq. ft. of office space

Hitchens said. “One thing you need to know is that without the cooperation from many in this room, the leadership in this room, from the County, the City and the Development Authority. Those relationships is what helps us to make this investment and push these things forward.”

Noting the Company’s rich history in Toccoa-Stephens County, president Peter Rolla thanked the local leadership for their continued support.

“We continue to do well. We continue to prosper. And we continue our growth in Toccoa. Again, thanks for being here. Thanks for helping ASI Southeast development in the past, and let us all work together to make Toccoa a better place for all of us,” Rolla said.

After the ribbon cutting, those attending were able to take tours of the new facility on the Clary Connector.

ASI and Gem Industries have been operating in Stephens County since the mid-1980’s.

Their new 900 building represents the Company’s the fourth major expansion in Stephens County over the last 12 years.
