Awards Handed Out for “A Taste of Toccoa”

Organizers are wrapping up another “A Taste of Toccoa.”

The Toccoa Main Street program held a program Friday at Toccoa City Hall to recognize the winners of this year’s “Taste” awards and re-cap the April 25 event.

Toccoa Main Street Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby said that overall, this year’s “Taste” went well.

“It was a great night,” said Crosby. “The weather was beautiful. We had a lot of people coming. 15 different restaurants participated and we had several children’s activities.”

This year, “Taste” collected just over 28,000 tokens, down about 1,800 tokens from 2012. Crosby says that the feedback from businesses that participated has been positive overall.
