Chamber Hosts Ribbon Cutting for Local Insurance Agent, Susan Mann

The Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting yesterday for local insurance agent Susan Mann’s office.

Mann is a local agent for Woodmen Life and said she offers life insurance, investments, health insurance and anything in the insurance spectrum except property and casualty and auto and home.

Chamber President Julie Paysen gave welcoming comments to the crowd, saying the community is glad to have her.

“We are so thrilled that ya’ll have chosen to do business right here in Toccoa,” said Paysen. “We’re grateful. I said this parking lot has probably never seen this kind of activity, we’re parking across the street. So I hope that enthusiasm and interest continues for you,  this is a good kickoff.”

Chapter Treasurer for Woodmen Life Nora Waters spoke on behalf of Woodmen Life and said they are an organization that gives back to the community and their members.

“Woodmen is a fraternal benefit society, we are a not for profit,” said Waters. “Any profits that are made come back to the members. Most companies are owned by stockholders, ours is different. We pay $1 a month dues here locally and a large portion of that comes back to our area to be used locally.”

Mann said she’s excited to be working in Toccoa.

“I’m super excited to be back in Toccoa. I live in Hollywood, but most of my business and professional life has been in Toccoa,” said Mann. “I’ve been in insurance for 25 years and I’m just excited to be back in Toccoa.
