City of Royston to host Northeast GA Economic Development Symposium

The City of Royston will be hosting the Northeast Georgia Economic Development Symposium next month.
According to Royston Main Street Executive Director Candy Rhoades, this is the first such symposium of its kind in Northeast Georgia and will take place on Thursday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Royston Housing Authority.
Rhoades said the symposium is for the entire 13-county northeast Georgia region.
Rhoades stressed this is for local farmers, business owners and individuals from the 13-county Northeast Georgia area, not just Franklin County.
She says a large number of vendors from various government and private organizations will be on hand with information.
There will also be information on housing loans, as well as experts to speak with you on how to best expand your business.
A similar symposium was held in Royston two years ago, and Rhoades says that’s one reason why the USDA wanted to hold another one there again this year.
The symposium is free and open to the public as well.
Again it takes place next month, on Thursday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Royston Housing Authority on Hartwell Street in Royston.
Anyone needing more information can call Jeff McLeod at the USDA in Georgia at 770-267-1413 ext. 110.
