Female Suspect Sought in Connection With Passing Fake Prescriptions

Local law enforcement from three municipalities and two counties are searching for a suspect in connection with passing fake prescriptions.

In started in Franklin County, where Royston Police investigator Chris Shehee says the suspect hit Royston area pharmacies late last week.

“We are looking for a young, black female identified as Kedesha Israel,” he said. “She is out of the Decatur area, but she has recently been in the Royston area as of Friday, September 15 passing fake prescriptions for a total of five (prescriptions). And at this time we are actively seeking her in connection to all of this.”

Kedesha Israel is believed to be driving a 2018 Toyota Camry with a tag number CDT 1047.

Shehee said the Camry is a rental out of Gwinnett County and she may be travelling with another unidentified individual.

Toccoa Police Chief Tim Jarrell said Monday, Israel may also be the woman who passed fake prescriptions over the weekend in Toccoa.

“Based upon the description given and other vital information that has been collected during the course of our investigation, we believe that she is our suspect also,” Jarrell said Monday.

According to Jarrell she may have also hit pharmacies in Hartwell.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kedesha Israel or who may have spotted the 2018 Toyota Camry she is believed to be driving is asked to contact Toccoa Police or the Royston Police Department.
