Ga. DOT Announces Area Road Work

The Georgia Department of Transportation is announcing road work for Stephens and surrounding counties this week.

In Stephens County, the DOT said a crew will mow the rights of way alongside State Route 365.  The shoulder will be closed as this work occurs.

Moving to Franklin County, a crew will patch potholes on Interstate 85 and lane closures will occur as this work occurs.

Elsewhere, a crew in Banks County will inspect the drainage system and clean then restore the ditches alongside State   Route 15/U.S. Highway 441. The shoulder of the roadway will be closed as this work occurs.

Finally, one crew in Habersham County will repair edge rutting along State Route 197 and the shoulders of the roadway will be closed as this work occurs.  Meanwhile, another crew in Habersham County will inspect the drainage system underneath State Route 15/U.S. Highway 441.

The DOT said crews will work through Friday if weather permits between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
