Indian Baseball Beats Elbert Co.

The Stephens County Indians baseball team defeated The Elbert County Blue Devils, 7-1 on Friday night in Elberton.

The Indians kicked things off with one run in the first inning on a Dawson Dean single to right field and never looked back.

In the fourth inning, the Indians opened the floodgates, scoring six runs, boosting their lead to 7-0.

The Blue Devils scored their only run of the game in the fourth inning after an Indian error.

Davis Swenson started the game on the mound and gave up zero earned runs and threw a complete game.

Bryson Fowler led the Indians from the batter’s box with three RBI’s.

Elbert County falls to 9-2.

Stephens County improves to 8-5 on the season.
