Indian Baseball Swept By Madison County

Madison County scored in every inning Friday night and rolled to an 11-0 win over the Stephens County Indians in five innings.

First baseman Tyler Griffeth knocked in five runs for the Red Raiders, getting two singles and a triple, while Zack Kerns added two RBIs.

Meanwhile, the Indians could only muster three singles off of senior pitcher Wyatt Wood, who struck out five in getting the win for Madison County.

Dylan Simpson got two of those hits and Konnor Quick got the other one.

Chaz Bridges started for the Indians and went 2 1/3 innings before giving way to Dawson Dean. Dylan Huff finished out the game on the mound for the Indians.

The loss was the third in a row for the Indians, who are now 1-3 in the region.

Madison County moves to 2-2 in region play with the win.

Stephens County returns to action at home tonight against the Johnson Knights.
