Indian Football Holds Awards Banquet

Stephens County High School recognizes this year’s football team.

Last Thursday night, Stephens County High School held its annual Football Banquet at the High School Cafeteria and Tugaloo Center for the Performing Arts.

Indians’ Head Coach Frank Barden said these nights always stir up mixed emotions.

“It is always a joyful time, a wonderful time to recognize these kids, but it is a sad time because we had a great group of seniors and this is the last time we will have this team together and we just really enjoyed coaching this group of players, so to get together one more time and to recognize and to be able to let them know we appreciate them, I think our community ought to be proud of them. They are fine young men on the field, off the field, in the school building,” said Barden. “I could not be more proud of a group.”

Each player on the varsity and J-V teams was recognized.
