Indians Face Chestatee Tonight

Stephens County looks to stay unbeaten and at the top of Region 8-AAAA football with another win tonight.

The Indians are home, hosting Chestatee at the Reservation in a region showdown.

Last week, the Indians came from behind to edge White County, 21-20, in Cleveland to move to 5-1 on the season overall and 3-0 in region play.

Meanwhile, the War Eagles remain winless on the year with an 0-6 overall record and an 0-3 region record.

In its last game, Chestatee lost to Madison County, 59-29.

Stephens County Defensive Coordinator Rob Stowe said the Indian defense will have to be discplined to keep Chestatee from making big plays.

“Their quarterback is a really good athlete,” said Stowe. “His scrambling ability, being able to extend plays.”

Stowe said the secondary and line have to stay with their assignments.

Kick-off tonight from the Reservation is set for 7:30 p.m.

It is Band and Auxiliary Senior Night at Stephens County High School.

Coverage tonight on AM 630 WNEG starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Indian Tailgate Show.
