Indians Fall to Hart in Baseball

A five-run first inning helped the Hart County Bulldogs defeat the Stephens County Indians on Wednesday at the Reservation, 6-2.

The Bulldogs sent 11 men to the plate in the top of the first to give the visitors a 5-0 lead before Stephens County reached the plate for its first at-bat.

Kooper Briley did hit the Indians’ first home run of the year in the fourth inning and the Indians added an unearned run in the sixth on a bases loaded error.

Christian Gray got the win for Hart County, going six innings and allowing five hits and two runs, while striking out five and walking two.

Chaz Bridges took the loss for the Indians, pitching to only seven batters before being removed from the game with an apparent injury.

Stephens County is now 3-5 on the year.

The Indians will be on the road Friday at Habersham Central.
