Indians, Lady Indians Fall At Home to St. Pius

Stephens County falls at home in region basketball play.

Friday night at the Currahee Arena in Toccoa, Stephens County dropped both varsity games at the hands of St. Pius.

In the girls’ game, Tykia Thompson led the Lady Indians in scoring with 11 points. Anaiah Wilson added nine more to contribute to the team’s scoring.

Meanwhile, the Lady Indians played stellar defense, but the Lady Golden Lions size enabled them to rebound the ball well, both on the offensive and defensive boards, creating more chances to score.

Moving to the boys’ game, Stephens County only led at the end of the first quarter.
