Indians Lead in Scrimmage Game on Friday

The Stephens County Indians Football Team had a pre-season scrimmage game with White County Friday night here in Toccoa to help get ready for the regular season.  

Stephens County led 28-6 at the end of the third quarter.  The Indians J-V and freshmen played the fourth quarter and White County scored 3 touchdowns, but Stephens County held on to win, 28 to 27.

Stephens County scored 3 touchdowns in the 1st half—a 25 yard interception return for a touchdown by Charles Cochran, a Cole Beitzel 1 yard touchdown run, and an 18-yard touchdown run by Tracy Lowery.  

Stephens County’s final touchdown was a 45 yard run by Hassan Brown in the 3rd quarter. Luke Pearson was successful on all 4 of his extra point kicks.    

Stephens County will open the regular season at home on Friday, August 25, against Franklin County.

White County will open the season this coming Friday, August 18, when they host Franklin County.
