Lady Indians Shutout North Oconee

Emma Whitfield tossed a shutout as the Stephens County Lady Indians defeated North Oconee 5-0 Monday in high school softball. Whitfield allowed just two hits and struck out 15. Stephens County scored its first run in the second inning when Mackenzie Rogers hit an RBI single.

The Lady Indians collected a total of ten hits.  Jasmine Lowery and Kayley Sellers each collected 3 hits to lead Stephens County.  The Lady Indians played good defense as they didn’t commit a single error. Natalie Morgan had the most chances in the field with 18.

Stephens Co improves to 11-4 overall and 4-2 in region play.  The Lady Indians will host Madison County today (Tues) in another region contest—JV play at 4:15pm with the varsity game at 5:55pm.
