Lady Indians Softball Defeats Habersham & Hart Over the Weekend

The Stephens County Lady Indians softball team played two games over the weekend, defeating Habersham Central and Hart County.

In game one, Emma Whitfield didn’t allow a single run as Stephens County Indians Varsity defeated Habersham Central 8-0 on Saturday. Whitfield allowed just four hits and induced a fly out from Brayden Straton to end the game.

The lady indians were boosted by Nat Morgan who went 4-for-4 at the plate.  Morgan singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the fourth and singled in the sixth.

And in game two, the lady Indians got an early lead in victory over Hart County with a final score of 13-2.

The Lady Indians secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the seventh inning.  Their big inning was driven by a double by Nat Morgan, a single , a double by Kayley Sellers, and a home run by Alanna Dunson.

The Lady Indians are now 3 & 0 and are playing again today at Hart County. JV begins at 4:30 and Varsity at 5:55.
