No Voting Today in E-SPLOST Election

Just a reminder … there is no voting today for the E-SPLOST special election referendum in Stephens County.

Early voting ended on Friday afternoon at the Stephens County Registrar’s Office in downtown Toccoa.

Election Day is tomorrow and for that, voting will move to the Stephens County Senior Center on Rose Lane in Toccoa.

Polls tomorrow at the Senior Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voters will need a photo ID.

Another reminder, any mail-in, paper absentee ballots that have not been returned yet must be returned to the Registrar’s Office at the Courthouse Annex on Tugalo Street in downtown Toccoa by 7 p.m. tomorrow in order to count.

Stephens County voters are deciding whether or not to continue the one-cent Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax for Education for another five years.

This would not be a new tax, but a renewal of the one penny that is already being collected in Stephens County.

Anyone with questions about voting should contact the Stephens County Registrar’s Office at 706-886-8954.
