Nobody Hurt After Reported Shots Fired Incident Tuesday Morning

Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley said nobody was injured in an incident where shots were allegedly fired Tuesday.

The incident happened Tuesday morning, reportedly in the Georgia Highway 328 area of southern Stephens County.

Shirley said that a man fired multiple shots at a woman, first while they were in a house and then the man fired more shots towards the woman while she fled in a vehicle.

According to Shirley, a total of seven shots were fired.

The sheriff said a lookout was placed in multiple counties for the suspect, who was considered to be armed and dangerous and possibly headed towards the Athens area.

He had reportedly last been seen heading down Georgia Highway 320.

On Tuesday evening, Shirley identified the suspect as a 31-year-old Brandon Minus.

Shirley said authorities have taken warrants on Minus for multiple charges including Aggravated Assault, Violation of Family Violence Act, Criminal Damage to Property, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

The sheriff said Minus had not been captured as of Tuesday evening.
