Two people were taken to the hospital after a residential fire over the weekend.

According to a report on file with the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, crews and authorities responded to Ayersville Road in response to a residential fire on Sunday afternoon.

The report stated that there had been a fire in the bedroom and a man and woman had been burned in the fire and were transported to Stephens County Hospital for treatment.

The investigation into the fire continues.

Meanwhile, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office is also investigating two reported incidents on Tatum Street on the same day.

Reports stated that both incidents occurred on June 24. In both reports, the victim states that someone had damaged some property at the respective homes. The incidents both were reported to have happened sometime during the daytime hours, according to information in the report.

Elsewhere, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Shorewood Circle on Monday in reference to a reported theft. The victim reported that $1,500 worth of items were stolen sometime over last weekend. The report does not specify what items were taken.

Finally, the Sheriff’s Office responded to Gulley Road on June 21, where a man reported that someone stole two 6-foot ramps, 75 feet of egg belt, one back pack, and an old hay rake wheel from a farm sometime over the last month. The total estimated value of the missing items is $654.

The investigations into those incidents also continue.
