SCHS Volleyball Sweeps Saturday Matches

The Stephens County High School Lady Indian volleyball team sweeps its matches over the weekend.

On Saturday, the Lady Indians hosted seven other teams for a playdate at the Currahee Arena.

In four matches, the Lady Indians went undefeated.

First, Stephens County beat Seneca, South Carolina in three sets. The Lady Indians lost the first set 25-20, but then won the second set, 28-26, and the third set, 18-16.

After that, the Lady Indians swept East Jackson in straight sets, 26-24 and 25-21.

In the third match, Stephens beat Laurens High School from Greenville, South Carolina in three sets, dropping the first set, 25-16, then winning the next two sets, 25-20 and 15-12, respectively.

Finally, the Lady Indians swept Belton-Honea Path from Anderson, South Carolina in straight sets, 25-19 and 25-20.

The successful Saturday puts the Lady Indians’ overall record at 4-6 for the season.

Today, the Lady Indian volleyball team will host Dawson County and Athens Christian at the Currahee Arena starting at 5 p.m.
