Seven people arrested in a drug bust in White County

In White County, seven people are behind bars facing multiple counts in connection with a drug bust last week.
It happened in Cleveland, Georgia.
Mitchell Posey, with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office told WNEG News agents joined the White County Sheriff’s office and the Cleveland Police Department to target suspected drug dealers.
A combined aggressive street-level effort by uniformed officers resulted in the arrest of seven people.
They are identified as 21-year-old Courtney Nelson, 23-year-old James Molton, 17-year-old Harvey Leahey, 19-year-old Quinton Blackwell, and 41-year-old Susan Sorrows.
All were charged with possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
Cleveland Police also arrested 27-year-old Barbara Barr and 38-year-old Johnnie Hickman.
Both are charged with possession of methamphetamine.
Posey said the combined street value of the drugs seized have been estimated at over $600 worth of methamphetamine and $600 worth of marijuana.
These people were transported to the White County Detention Center.
