Six Arrested for Drugs in White Co. Wednesday

white co drug arrestSix northeast Georgia residents were arrested when authorities served a search warrant in White County Wednesday.

The Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office said it and the Cleveland Police Department served a search warrant at an apartment Wednesday.

Authorities said agents found and seized about 20 grams of suspected methamphetamine valued at about $2,200, about 10 grams of suspected heroin valued at about $2,000, a handgun, and more than $2,000 in cash.

Among those arrested were 31-year-old Bradley Taylor of Baldwin, 23-year-old Francesca Craig of Baldwin, 28-year-old Brittany Broom of Demorest, and 37-year-old Kevin McDuffie of Clarkesville.

They were all charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine and McDuffie was also charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.

Also arrested were 27-year-old Billy Joe “BJ” Franklin of Cleveland and 19-year-old Megan McMillan of Cleveland.

They were charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, and Trafficking in Heroin.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
