Stephens Co. Hospital Names 2013 New Year’s Baby

Stephens County Hospital has its New Year’s Baby.

The hospital introduced the New Year’s Baby for 2013 and his family on Friday.

Not only is Chayton the first baby of the year at the hospital, he is the first child for the lucky mom and dad.

Mom Melanie Hurley said it is exciting.

“It’s something new,” she said. “It feels good. I haven’t gotten him home yet to take care of him by myself, but I’m excited.”

Dad Ashley Hurley said he feels the same way.

“It’s a great felling,” he said. “It is something new, but I am really excited about it. I’ll be glad when we can get him home and get settled in with him.”

The maternal grandparents are John and Nanette Reepe of Clarkesville, Georgia and Roy and Freddie Lingerfelt of Clarkesville, Georgia. The paternal grandparents are Beverly Hurley of Clarkesville, Georgia and the late Richard Hurley.
