STEPHENS-HABERSHAM MOVED TO SATURDAY

The Stephens County-Habersham Central game scheduled for this Friday night has now been moved to Saturday night at 7:30 P.M. in Mt. Airy.

Stephens County High School Principal Scott Kersh says with all of the missed time this week due to Tropical Storm Irma the teams needed more time to prepare. “The leadership and coaches at the two schools decided it would be best to move it to Saturday night considering all of the time missed in school this week and the lack of time for our student athletes to prepare.”

Kersh says that it is always a big game when rivals get together, and this should be a game that creates great excitement and great gate. “It is important to the home team’s gate and budget to have a great gate when you have a big rivalry game. Of course, we think we would have helped the gate Friday night. We hope that folks will come out Saturday night. It should be a very exciting atmosphere.”

Airtime on Saturday night will be 6:30 P.M. with the Indian Road Show, followed by Coach’s Corner at 7, pregame at 7:15, and kickoff at 7:30 P.M.
