After graduating from Stephens County High School in 2009, Brock chose to attend Toccoa Falls College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education.

From the start of her college career, she was a standout student-athlete amassing many accolades over the four years she represented the NCCAA and Toccoa Falls College.

Her illustrious career included being the first ever student-athlete at TFC to be named NCCAA 1st Team All-American during all four years of her career.

Bethany is the daughter of Kenny Slate and 23-year veteran Head Coach Selina Slate who was also a stellar student-athlete during her time at Toccoa Falls College.

Since 2015, Brock has served as the assistant volleyball coach at TFC, aiding in recruiting and player development.

Bethany says she is very thankful for being able to play for her Mom and now to be an assistant coach under her.

She has been instrumental in helping this year’s team achieve another first by being named the #1 nationally ranked volleyball team in the country for NCCAA DII.

Brock and her husband, Ryan Brock, now live in Toccoa, and have five children.
