Toccoa 8-9-10 Softball All-Stars Advance to District 7 Finals

Toccoa’s Carson Stowe struck out 11 hitters, and Toccoa scored 4 runs in both the third and fourth innings and advanced to the age 8-9-10 Softball District 7 final with an 8-1 win over Franklin County on Sunday.

With two outs in the third inning Riley Walker singled, Fayeth (pronounced Faith) Ivester tripled Walker home, and after back to back walks to Maddison Mcgee and Stowe, singles by Ally Means and Da’Riyah Bell made the score 4-0.

In the 4th inning, Toccoa got hits from Halley (pronounced Hal-EE) Shirley, Kylee Glaze, McGee, and Stowe, and an RBI from Means to extend the lead and final score of 8-1.

Franklin County had defeated Toccoa 3-2 on Thursday night.

The two teams will meet for a third time in the GA. District 7 final tonight in Rabun County. Airtime is scheduled for 6:45 P.M. with first pitch at 7 P.M. here on WNEG.
