Toccoa City Commission Approves Appointments to Committees

The Toccoa City Commission appointed new members to the Housing Board and the Historic Preservation Committee last night at their regularly scheduled meeting as well as extended City Manager Billy Morse’s contract.

Member of the Housing Board, Gary Lance’s term is expiring and the commission approved Dave Stancil to take his place.

Morse describes what the purpose of the Housing Board is.

“This board assists the planning department with community housing needs, specifically as it relates to community development block funding,” said Morse.

Member of the Historic Preservation Committee, Lamar Davis, submitted his resignation and the commission approved Patty Chism to take his place.

The commission also extended City Manager Billy Morse’s employment agreement to two years, expiring now in October, 2019.
