Toccoa Commission To Meet Today

Toccoa City Commissioners are expected to set the tax millage rate for 2015 at their meeting later today.

The city commission meets at Toccoa City Hall in the commission meeting room at 5 p.m. today.

When city commissioners put together and approved the Fiscal Year 2016 budget, they planned it around no increase in the millage rate.

Meanwhile, the city commission is also expected to consider a resolution and letter of commitment for an Appalachian Regional Commission Pre-Grant Application for the Schaefer Center Marquee at today’s meeting.

Along with those two items, Toccoa City Commissioners are expected to receive two reports during their meeting today.

First, the city commission will receive its annual report from Stephens County Development Authority Executive Director Tim Martin.

Also, commissioners will receive their monthly financial report.

Today’s Toccoa City Commission meeting is open to the public and includes time for public comment.
