A Toccoa man is charged with Driving Under the Influence after striking a house with a vehicle earlier this week.

According to the Toccoa post of the Georgia State Patrol, it happened at 11:23 p.m. on Monday.

The GSP stated that a 1986 Chevrolet C20 truck driven by 59-year-old Gregory Eugene Lynn of Toccoa was traveling backwards in a private drive on the 100 block of Richardson Street in Toccoa.

In the report, troopers said that the rear of the truck then struck the corner of a neighboring house, also on the 100 block of Richardson Street, and came to rest against the house.

Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley said that people were at home in the house that was struck, but authorities say that no one was injured.

Troopers said that Lynn told them that he did not know what happened.

According to the GSP, he was charged with DUI.

Shirley said that he was released Tuesday on a $2,000 bond.
