A Toccoa man will spend the next seven years in prison after being convicted of sexually molesting a Franklin County child.

On Friday, Franklin County Superior Court Judge Chris Phelps sentenced 50-year old Bobby Todd Jordan to 15 years in prison with seven to serve and eight on probation.

Jordan was convicted by a Franklin County Jury on Friday, September 18th of one count of felony child molestation, one count of felony false imprisonment, and one count of felony sexual battery against a child under the age of 16.

Jordan was indicted in March of 2012 by a Franklin County Grand Jury on the molestation charges.

The indictment states the crimes took place at a residence on Bent Tree Circle in Toccoa between October 15th and November 5th, 2011.

Jordan pled not guilty in May of 2012 and was released on bond.

After his conviction last month, Judge Phelps allowed Jordan to remain free on bond until his sentencing.
