Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce to host Evening with the Stars

The Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce is hosting An Evening with the Stars, their annual awards celebration.

This is the 71^st Annual Chamber Awards Celebration and will be held Thursday, August 17 at 5:30 p.m. at Reflections at Lake Toccoa.

President of the Chamber Julie Paysen said this is an opportunity to gather as a community and celebrate all that’s going on throughout the county.

“We’ll have a silent auction and a time of reception and fellowship around the property there,” said Paysen. “Then we’ll commence with a program where we’ll have the opportunity from chamber leaders, the City of Toccoa, from Stephens County leadership, from the superintendent from the school board and really just a community update in addition to recognize some outstanding leaders.”

Tickets for the event are $30 and are available at the Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center or from Chamber board members.

According to Paysen, there were about 250 people in attendance last year. She said they’re hoping for that many, if not more this year and asks that everyone planning to attend get their tickets early.
