Top Five Banquet Tuesday in Toccoa

Final preparations are underway for this year’s Toccoa Rotary Club Top Five Banquet.

The Top Five Banquet will take place Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Stephens County High School in the Arrowhead Café dining facilities.

The annual banquet recognizes graduating seniors from Stephens County High School who have performed academically in the top five percent of the class. The Toccoa Rotary Club also provides those top five percent with scholarship money to assist them with their first year in college.

In addition, the Rotary Club also honors the top five academic performers in each grade between Grades 6 through 11.

This year’s banquet speaker is Dr. Mark Wilson. Dr. Wilson was named the National Principal of the Year in 2009.

Tickets for Tuesday’s Top Five banquet are available from Rotary members and are $12 each.

There are also other opportunities to donate to the Rotary Top Five Scholarship Fund.
