Two Injured in Thursday Motorcycle Accident

An accident last week in Toccoa ended up sending two people to Stephens County Hospital with injuries.

It occurred Thursday just after 11 a.m. at the intersection of Big A Road and Tugalo Street.

According to a report on file with the Toccoa Police Department, a 1995 Harley XL 883 driven by Levey Simpson Green, age unlisted of Stonewall Court in Toccoa, was traveling north on Big A Road, approaching the curve at the intersection with Tugalo Street.

Police say that the motorcycle went into a slide and struck the curb on the right side of the road, throwing the driver and a passenger, identified as 47-year-old Lisa Green of Stonewall Court of Toccoa, from the motorcycle.

Both individuals were transported to Stephens County Hospital with what were classified as non-life threatening injuries by Toccoa Police Chief Tim Jarrell.

The motorcycle had extensive damage and no citations are listed in the report from police.
