Baseball fans will want to mark their calendars for a special event coming up later this month at the Ty Cobb Museum in Royston.
The museum is celebrating its 19th anniversary and on Saturday, July 29 they will be hosting a special presentation featuring Major League Baseball great Ransom Jackson Jr.
Museum Executive Director Wesley Fricks said Jackson will be talking about his years in baseball.
Jackson’s book about his life in the Majors will also be on sale at the museum that day for a special reduced price.
His presentation will be followed by a panel discussion featuring a number of baseball notables, including the 2011 World Series Champion Jake Westbrook.
And, according to Fricks, there will also be a light lunch served for all who attend as well as admission to the museum.
Tickets are $20 per person in advance, which includes the luncheon and museum tour or $25 at the door.
Fricks said seats are expected to fill up fast and he encourages people who plan to attend to get their tickets as soon as possible.
You can do that by going to the Ty Cobb Museum Web site.
