Water Line Breakage Possibly Caused By Storm

Problems arise at the Rose Lane Recreation Complex home of the Recreation Department and Senior Center.

What is believed to have been a waterline breakage possibly caused by Wednesday’s afternoon storm, has several residents concerned for the daily operations of the senior center.

Lisa Thomas, Stephens County Senior Center director, says that the center had the water turned off due to it using 325,000 gallons of water yesterday.

However, the water wasn’t cut off until after the meals for the Meals on Wheels program had been completed.

The water is scheduled to be restored today, Sept. 22, which will allow operations to continue as normal.
